Nashville Braces for War as Dynamite Sets the Table for Redemption
Our AEW Dynamite preview has everything you need for tonight’s show (Wednesday, July 22, 2026), live from The Pinnacle in Nashville at 8/7c on TBS and HBO Max. With Redemption just four days away in Montreal, AEW loaded this one up: two title matches, a record-chasing TNT defense, a blockbuster six-man, a long-awaited return, and a world-title face-off. Here’s everything worth watching, match by match.
Omega, Ospreay & Moxley vs. The Don Callis Family (Six-Man Tag)
The main event is a collision of eras and allegiances. AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, and AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley band together against a Don Callis Family trio of Brian Cage, CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Hechicero, and Jake Doyle. The spark was a championship celebration gone sideways, when Kevin Knight’s interruption and ambush of Omega touched off a brawl that pulled Ospreay and the Callis Family into the fire. Putting three headliners on the same side of a tag rope is combustible by design. The question isn’t whether it explodes, but who’s left standing when it does, and how much of that momentum carries to Montreal.
Kevin Knight (c) vs. Darby Allin — TNT Championship
History is on the line as much as gold. “The Jet” Kevin Knight puts the TNT Championship up for what would be a record-setting ninth defense, and the challenger across from him needs no extra motivation. Darby Allin is chasing payback for Knight’s attack at Double or Nothing, and few competitors weaponize recklessness like Allin does. Knight has answered every challenge with the poise of a champion building a legacy. Allin has spent a career proving that the more it hurts, the more dangerous he becomes. Something has to give in Nashville.
Divine Dominion (c) vs. Skye Blue & Julia Hart — Women’s World Tag Titles, No DQ
There will be no referee’s reprieve here. Champions Divine Dominion, “Colossal” Lena Kross and “Megasus” Megan Bayne, defend the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship against the Sisters of Sin, Artist of STARDOM Champions Skye Blue and Julia Hart, under No Disqualification rules. The challenge is soaked in revenge after Divine Dominion’s ambush at Beach Break, and stripping away the rulebook only tilts the night toward the champions’ brand of overwhelming force. Blue and Hart wanted them with no rules. Tonight they get exactly that, and everything that comes with it.
Jay White vs. Clark Connors (Singles)
Sixteen months is a long time to wait. “Switchblade” Jay White steps back into a singles match for the first time in nearly a year and a half, and the Bang Bang Gang leader draws a live one in “100 Proof” Clark Connors of The Dogs. The rivalry between the two factions has been building toward exactly this kind of one-on-one flashpoint, and White, as sharp a big-match strategist as AEW has, will be eager to prove the layoff hasn’t dulled the blade. Connors, all snarl and forward pressure, is the ideal test to find out.
Thekla and Willow Nightingale Come Face-to-Face
Not every headline needs a bell. Four days before they meet for the richest prize in the women’s division at Redemption in Montreal, AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla and challenger Willow Nightingale stand across from one another in Nashville. Face-to-face segments live and die on tension, and this one carries plenty: Thekla’s cold, methodical menace against Nightingale’s relentless, crowd-igniting fire. Whatever words are exchanged tonight, they’ll be the last ones before the two settle it for the title.
The Bottom Line
Two titles defended, a record within Kevin Knight’s reach, a marquee six-man, a marquee return, and a world-title stare-down, all in one night. Dynamite in Nashville isn’t just a stop on the road to Redemption. It’s the on-ramp. Doors open at 8/7c on TBS and HBO Max.
