Welcome to the DAPC Wrestling news roundup for Wednesday, July 22, 2026. SummerSlam tickets are finally moving in Minneapolis, Bayley’s deal is quietly ticking toward its end, All In is taking shape at Wembley, and there’s a very NFL-shaped rumor to close on.
1. SummerSlam 2026 Ticket Sales Tick Upward After Discounts
After weeks of internal concern over sluggish movement, ticket sales for WWE’s two-night SummerSlam (August 1–2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis) have picked up. The latest figures have roughly 27,275 tickets distributed for night one and 26,811 for night two (gains of about 4,495 and 4,447 on the prior week), after WWE leaned into extra marketing and discounted pricing. For context, last year’s two-night SummerSlam in New Jersey drew a combined 113,722. The card currently sits at eight announced matches with under two weeks to go.

The DAPC Take: An impressive update from the last time we discussed this at DAPC Wrestling (link above). The stadium will still be mostly empty based on setup, but perhaps they will sell out of the portion they have open.
Bayley's contract and potential free agency have been a conversation in AEW for quite some time, with the company expected to be heavily interested and to make a play for her if she becomes available, @FightfulSelect has learned.

2. Bayley’s WWE Contract Is Set to Expire at the End of 2026
Bayley’s WWE deal runs through the end of 2026, according to WrestleVotes (via Fightful Select), and both WWE and TKO are expected to offer her a new contract to keep her around. As WrestleVotes’ TC put it, “all indications that I’ve got are that WWE wants to keep her, TKO wants to keep her. She will get offered a deal.” At 36, the five-time women’s champion has previously talked about eventually moving into a producer or coaching role. This week, though, the conversation shifted, with fresh speculation about whether Bayley could be the next big WWE name to jump to AEW when her deal is up. For now, the expiring contract hands her a rare bit of negotiating leverage.

The DAPC Take: It really feels like a no-brainer for Bayley to head to AEW at this point. There’s the obvious connection with Mercedes and her booking has probably hit the ceiling in WWE at this point. She would be a huge boost to the AEW women’s division immediately and I’m sure TK will back that money truck up to her door if they get to that point.
3. AEW All In (Wembley): Main-Event Title Matches Confirmed
AEW has confirmed its main-event title matches for All In at Wembley Stadium in London, locking in the top of the card as the build ramps up (including the Omega and Ospreay thread AEW has been leaning on all summer). We will also see Mercedes Mone challenge the winner of this Sunday’s Thekla vs. Willow Nightingale match. On the business side, the company also rolled out a 50% off ticket sale to help fill the stadium.

The DAPC Take: Ticket sales are certainly not where they have been for the previous two Wembley shows and perhaps having more of the card locked in combined with the 50% off will get them to where they want to be.
4. Becky Lynch Not Expected Back Until After SummerSlam
Don’t look for “The Man” in Minneapolis. Backstage reporting indicates Becky Lynch isn’t expected back on WWE television until after SummerSlam, meaning she’ll miss the big two-nighter. No firm return date has been attached to the update.

5. Rumor: Tom Brady Being Floated for a WWE Appearance
File this one firmly under rumor: this week’s wrestling rumor mill included chatter connecting Tom Brady to a possible WWE appearance. Nothing is confirmed and there are no specifics on when or in what capacity. But with WWE’s recent taste for celebrity and NFL crossover, it’s the kind of rumor that gets people talking.
